Merak Railway Technologies Shanghai Co., Ltd. is a fully foreign owned company founded in January 2001 by Merak Spain which is affiliated with Knorr-Bremse Group.

Located in Chuansha Smart International Industrial Park of Shanghai Pudong, it occupies a production area of 3900m2, office area of 700 m2 and warehouse area of 1200 m2, with functional departments including production, quality, logistics, technical support and service, project management, financial and HR & Administration. The company currently has 308 employees and a capacity of producing up to 1,800 HVAC equipments.

Management Team

All systems are designed in the Merak headquarters in Spain and the quotation process goes through Spain, except offers for projects in the Chinese market which are realized by Merak-Jinxin in Wuxi. In close cooperation with the customers, amongst which are the main railway vehicle manufacturers and operators, Merak Shanghai manufactures air conditioning systems for metro and railway vehicles. The production is entirely for export and is carried out with a well managed transfer of technology process from Spain, observing all European Production Standards as well as the Knorr-Bremse Groups regulations.
