Workbench organised according to 5S guideline
Production
The productive area is organized following the KPS (Knorr Production System) guidelines, which include the main industrial organization practices like Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Poka Yoke, AMFE, Process Standardisation etc, and which allow a planned and safe manufacturing of products, thus boosting quality focus and zero defect culture.
It is the rigorous application of all these tools and processes that makes Merak's production system a reference for the production of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems in the railway sector.
Suppliers
For us, quality management begins outside of Merak. The joint work of Quality and Purchasing via integrated supplier development, the management of first samples as well as the continuous assessment of our suppliers and their performance, are the key factors to guarantee the quality of the final product.
Projects
In a working environment marked by a strong project orientation, integration of quality as an inseparable part of the project is essential. Merak’s Project Quality Area allows our customers to have a specific channel to manage all quality related matters within the scope of the project.
